Mission

The AI4HOPE’s mission is to deliver a holistic, culturally aware palliative care digital ecosystem

Through the design of efficient, replicable, and cost-effective digital health interventions centred-on and oriented-by the patients and their caregivers. Digital health interventions will be integrated and used for pain management, care planning, education, information-sharing, and decision support, to improve the quality of life of patients and their caregivers.

Objectives

(1)
Advanced Care Planning Decision Support System

Develop and implement an Advanced Care Planning Decision Support System (CPDSS) for dementia patients and caregivers to improve quality of life and ensure patient-centered care.

Well-being and quality of life for patients and caregiver

Integrate multisensory-based emotion regulation and pain management using trustworthy artificial intelligence (TAI) models to enhance well-being and quality of life for patients and caregivers.

Psychosocial needs

Establish accessible and affordable digital health interventions for palliative care, including reminiscence therapy (RT), to address psychosocial needs and reduce depression among people with dementia.

Evaluation and optimisation of digital health interventions

Evaluate and optimize digital health interventions through five pilot sites in diverse cultural settings (Germany, UK, Spain, Ireland, and Slovenia) involving 250 patients, 50 healthcare professionals, and 100 stakeholders.
